Honestly, I don't play a ton of games, but my clear choice is DOOM IV. It seriously took me back to my early PC gaming days. I absolutely love this game!

Second would be World of Warships, but really only because that's really the only other game I played a lot of this year. Great game too.

What is you 2016 Game of the Year?

I am currently playing that as well. I like the recent update with the new game modes in it for sure. Before that, I was playing Dying light, and anything in the Far Cry series. I will go back and replay any of them on occasion.

I had the original Far Cry, then bought another one that was almost RPG like. He had me skinning crap. Not really into that when I'm playing a FPS.

I have a couple of friends who raved about Doom IV. Does it have a good story behind it? Or is it just a "kill the monsters" over and over thing?

No, it has a story path, but of course. You're killing lots of demons.

It's very similar to the original DOOM game. Did you ever play that? If you like that, you will like DOOM IV.

I bought DOOM III and wasn't really a big fan of it. This, is a GREAT game.

I was not a fan of Doom, the actual game, but I did like games that used its engine :D I liked the original DOOM engine-based games too like Heretic and Hexen :D

My love of DOOM has everything to do with the sheer chaos it lets loose.

I'm glad Doom was able to evolve the very first iterations of Doom were revolutionary it had gotten stale after a while.

If I had to pick game of the year at this point I would have to go with Mafia 3. Mafia 3 is a huge game with high replay value and is a big step up from Mafia 2

I always loved the far cry series. But the last few seem very copy and paste. I remember walking through the forest to discover a waterfall and it was beautiful. So much potential just boxed in with replay of the old

This is about an hours worth of video that ends with me killing the CyberDemon which is very much near the end of the game.

Sorry there is no sounds, but most of the time I'm playing while talking to buddies on TeamSpeak and it records both the game sound and my conversation and yeah. No. We talk about all kinds of **** that doesn't have any relevance to the game.

If you want to see the CyberDemon battle, you can jump to the 1 hour mark. Though if you've never seen the gameplay. Watch the rest of it. Good stuff!

There's no question what the best game of 2016 is.

I'm at 400 hours into that game and I haven't even finished the Blood & Wine DLC yet.

Some how I got two hours of playing in last night. This starts right after killing the Cyber Demon.

I enabled the sound on this video.
